Hello from UV/FX,
This month's news and photos are profiling two hot new
projects!
Top: Caracas
Pop Festival
The team producing the Caracas Pop festival were looking
for something visually striking to cover their two 30'
x 50' speaker stacks.
The mid-March 5-day event was held this year bordering
a national park. UV/FX designed and painted two 30'x50'
matching forested themed drops on sharkstooth scrim
for maximum sound transmission over the speakers. The
art was exposed to UV light at different times during
the event and was a real crowd pleaser. In this design
there are many lighting options, as the art will take
colors nicely and then under full UV light, the night
scene and CPF logo magically appears.

Cite
of Science Museum - Paris
UV/FX
has completed one of the largest scenic paintings ever
painted and certainly the largest UV painting. At 33'
x 600'+, the painting is for the finale of the new Stardust
show at the Cite of Sciences Museum in Paris and is
used with different lighting and even lasers before
going to full UV. The art is a complicated ambient painting
connected to the theme of the show and transforms to
a completely different painting under UV light. This
large Dual Image painting was painting in 5 pieces on
muslin in the UV/FX facility and shipped to Paris for
the January opening of this permanent show. "Very
Impressive" are the words we've heard most, describing
the show and specifically our work.
See you next month when we will be bring you a special
expanded issue profiling our groundbreaking work at
the brand new Dollywood Museum.
Until then
