| This
UV/FX style guide is designed to be a quick refresher
to those who are familiar with our work and a guide to
those who are not.
Please keep in mind the lighting issues in the environment were designing for and well be able to help you choose the best and most effective UV art style for that particular space. Some styles of UV art can work in almost any area but the darker the space can become and the more control over the light you have, the wider the range of style options. We will design, formulate paint and produce the art based on the lighting spec. Lets look at each specific UV Art Style and its best use . |
||||
Day to Night Style As
the name states, this style represent art that goes
from a Day look to Sunrise / Sunset and to a Night look
or any of those combination. The transition looks work
with the colored light to achieve the desired effect.
While most people go Day / Sunset/ Night, some start
with the night look and go to the day look etc
.
Great for landscapes or city scenes. This style has
a very natural or realistic feel to it and almost always
gets a coo or ahs from the audience when the changes
take place. Day to Night scenery is very pretty to look
at and you have many lighting options. You need a fairly
dark area for it to work best but will work with moderate
amounts of light present. As always the darker the better.

Dual Image Style Like a Day to Night, this style can easily takes other colored lighting but the invisible pigments which comprise the dual image part of the painting are very sensitive to light so a controlled lighting environment is the best use of this technique. The looks can be very dramatic as you really can completely change from one scene to another or have aspects appearing, changing, transforming, disappearing etc. Ive seen our Dual Image backdrops work just fine in concert situations where it was not totally dark but low lit. Because of the power of the change with a Dual Image style, the crowd response is definitely a Wow!

Complete Invisible Style As the name suggests, this style is completely invisible. We can actually paint an entire scene with full depth and richness of any color and have it be completely unseen until lit with UV lighting. We can create this style on any lighter toned background or add low contrast patterns or gradation.
|
||||
Single Image Style Single
images are the most under utilized of all our styles.
You really can have a fluorescent painting and not have
it appear Day Glo. In its best use, this style
is used in areas that are low lit but you can have moderate
amounts of ambient light present. By lighting with UV
illumination you add a subtle but effective quality
to the art which is always emitting light.

UV 3-D Style (please view with Chromadepth 3-D glasses) We
love to create 3-D UV scenery because it's both fun
to design and paint and its amazing when installed.
Great for attractions where maximum impact is required
at minimal cost. Weve done many of these at Family
Entertainment Centers, Haunted Houses etc... Everyone
who experience UV 3-D loves it! You can also incorporate
our day to night and dual image styles and still get
the 3-D effect. The Chromadepthglasses required
for the 3-D effect are lightweight and clear so they
are easy to deal with and not an issue as far as vision
clarity. Remember that we design and paint figurative
3-D scenery and not just graphic shapes.

| Please keep in mind that for added flexibility, we custom design and paint all our work on lightweight scrim, muslin or direct onto almost any hard surface onsite. | ||||
